MH - MA baseball is built on faith, class, respect, and playing the game the right way. This is a team sport that requires hard work, determination, and every player giving maximum effort. We strive to glorify God in action and attitude.

Meet the Coaches
Head Coach: Phil Baniewicz (11th year at MH - MA, 18th year as a head coach, 257-119 overall record)
Phil Baniewicz is the headmaster of Maur Hill - Mount Academy and a seasoned baseball coach. Under his direction, the MH - MA baseball program has become one of the most respected at the 3A level. A transplant from Arizona, he previously coached at multiple high schools, including seven years as the head coach at Seton Catholic High School where he helped transform a struggling baseball team into consistent, winning competitors (a state championship, state runner up, two regional titles, and six consecutive trips to state). He was honored with several awards, including Arizona Coach of the Year. Baniewicz played NCAA Division I baseball on a full scholarship at St. Mary’s College of California and was raised in a family of baseball players and coaches.

Meet the Coach
Head Coach: Kelly Johnson Elias (9th year)
Coach Elias ‘81 is a multi-generational alum of Mount St. Scholastica Academy. Elias combines her own competitive swimming experience and knowledge with guidance from her mother (a swim coach with 50+ years of experience) to help the swim team succeed and grow.

NEK League
Ravens sports are part of the Northeast Kansas League (NEK). The conference includes 2A and 3A levels, which are similar in size.
